From the hands of Bangladeshi artisans to homes in America — one meaningful stitch at a time.
Taati Studio was born from a simple belief, beautiful things should also be good. We bring centuries-old Nakshi Kantha embroidery and Jamdani weaving from rural Bangladesh directly to your home — ethically made, fairly paid, and full of stories.
The Beginning
In 2025, three friends — Asif Rahman, Somdutta Das, and Yeasin Mia — saw a problem they could no longer ignore.
Growing up in the South Asia (India and Bangladesh), they watched traditional Bangladeshi crafts slowly disappear. Artisans who had preserved Nakshi Kantha and Jamdani for generations were being pushed out by mass-produced factory goods. Many received unfair wages and had no access to global markets.
They knew these crafts were more than just textiles — they were living stories of culture, resilience, and family legacy.
So they decided to build a bridge.
Using their combined experience in manufacturing and their deep personal connections to artisan communities in Bangladesh, they founded Taati Studio — a brand that connects skilled Bangladeshi hands with conscious American homes.

Yeasin • Brand / Community
We design for calm homes—warm textures, transparent stories.
Taati Studio was born in the vibrant energy of New York City, but its soul has always lived in the rural weaving villages of Bangladesh. We began with a simple question: How can we bring the ancient warmth of Bangladeshi hand-stitched textiles into the contemporary, minimalist spaces of today?
We are the bridge between these two worlds—connecting the unparalleled skill of traditional artisans with a global aesthetic of quiet luxury.

Our Story
Our story begins with a spark.
A shared desire to create something meaningful, thoughtful, and enduring. Taati Studio was founded by Ashikur Rahman, Somdatta Das, and Yeasin, brought together by a deep appreciation for craftsmanship and a vision to reimagine it for modern living.
From the beginning, Taati Studio has stood for more than just products. It’s about honoring tradition while embracing new perspectives. We work closely with skilled artisans, preserving time-honored techniques and transforming them into pieces that feel both rooted and contemporary. Every saree, bag, and home textile reflects a balance of heritage, texture, and quiet elegance. We choose materials consciously, design with care, and focus on creating pieces that are meant to last. Sustainability is woven into our journey—not just in what we make, but in how we think about longevity and use.
At its heart, Taati Studio is about connection—between people, craft, and stories. What began as a simple idea has grown into a mindful movement, where every piece carries purpose and every detail is made to be felt and cherished over time.

Our Signature
Our signature lies in the art of quiet detail—where texture, craft, and intention come together in harmony. At Taati Studio, we are drawn to the tactile beauty of natural materials, the softness of hand-finished edges, and the subtle imperfections that make each piece truly unique.
Every design reflects a balance between tradition and modernity. We reinterpret heritage techniques through a contemporary lens, creating pieces that feel timeless yet relevant. Muted palettes, rich textures, and thoughtful silhouettes define our aesthetic—understated, elegant, and deeply personal.
Craftsmanship remains at the core of our identity. Each piece is carefully made, carrying the touch of the artisan and the story behind its making. It’s this human connection that sets our work apart.
Our signature is not just how our pieces look, but how they feel—effortless, enduring, and meant to be lived with, loved, and passed on.

Our Taati Studio
Taati Studio is a contemporary lifestyle brand rooted in craftsmanship, conscious design, and timeless simplicity. We create thoughtfully made pieces—from sarees and bags to home textiles—that celebrate texture, detail, and the beauty of the handmade.
At our core, we are inspired by tradition. We work closely with artisans, preserving heritage techniques while reimagining them for modern living. Each piece is designed to feel both familiar and new—blending cultural richness with a refined, contemporary aesthetic.
Our approach is guided by intention and care. We prioritize natural materials, mindful production, and lasting quality, ensuring that everything we create is as meaningful as it is beautiful.
More than a brand, Taati Studio is a reflection of a slower, more conscious way of living—where every piece tells a story, invites connection, and is meant to be cherished over time.
